quote First of all a huge thank you to Ana, she went out of her way to make our experience extra special by giving my mom a birthday surprise 😻 thank you Jana (dunno if the spelling is correct) for baking the red velvet cake 😻😻 As for today's dishes, we learned how to make a savoury kueh, sweet kueh, curry laksa and chili paste. Ana and Nik are very friendly and patient, professional and passionate. I appreciate their attention to details, this is a place for people who are looking to learn how to cook Malaysian cuisine with precision and still be quite chill. The place is open aired, it was windy today, I imagine it could be hot sometimes, they provide insect repellent. The morning market tour led by Doreen was lovely, she took us to the cooked food center upstairs for a quick breakfast then we strolled around the wet market for ingredients. Doreen was friendly and she knows the market well. Big ups to her πŸ‘πŸΎ Thank you Ana again and see you soon!

quote I always enjoy the beef curry laksa here; to my asian husband, it doesn't have as much flavour, but to me it is perfect. It is not overpowering and just the right creaminess, flavour and textured meat!

quote I've been coming here for years and seen the changes in ownership throughout. No matter what though, they've always served good food and great service. We went there for mothers day dinner yesterday. Big group of 20 and I was surprised being how busy they are, the food came out promptly and were staggered well. All requests are greeted with a smile and the restaurant is really family friendly. Their kung pow chicken and steamed fish dish is my fave.

quote The food experience was great, especially the curry laksa tastes awesome! We ordered a fresh orange juice which is good too, fresh-squeezed fruit juice, and less sweetener. The customer service was excellent. The only issue with the air conditioning, it wasn't cold enough and it was quite hot inside the dining areas. Parking is available but limited.

quote Having not been to a Malaysian-ish restaurant for a while we were hankering for some authentic Asian cuisine. A quick google search brought up lazat. A little tricky to find the entrance and being met with a rather tired exterior had us worried but those thoughts swiftly vanished when. We tasted the food. We had ordered seafood laksa, char kway teau, beef rendang, roti chanai with curry, nasi lemak, wonton noodle soup and ice kacang. I'll cut to the chase. The standout was the roti chanai. Best I have ever had in my life including those from Malaysia! Big statement yes. Colour me surprised, totally. Next nasi lemak and beef rendang in equal second. Then laksa. The others are ok. Give the ice kacang a miss.
